We had two dogs with us and of course they came into the tent with us but I was wary because of them jumping in and running all over the mattress. Hell if it's not too much elevation variation I might even consider a single mattress when I am able to go backpacking again.
It will feel like it's deflating but it's just the pockets settling and expanding properly. I love the quick fold, roll and wrap for storage.
Top it off again and it'll be good to go.
Trust me, air flies out quickly when fully inflated. Fantastic product i've only used it once and it was worth it's once use.
Airbeds are measured from the widest point including the beams bulges on the side and off the tallest point from the floor including built in pillows if applicable. I had never used an air mattress while camping and I don't know if I will ever go back to air mats. Do not over inflate though.

Measurements will vary based on the way in which the customer inflates the airbed. It was so very comfortable and I normally have issues sleeping on anything but my own bed. To make a slightly softer bed, deflate it for a split second. Following the directions properly my 250lbs and my wife won't post her weight for marital sake but you can do the math together had 400lbs on this mattress and we slept like babies with no problems.
